Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing counter and telephone service to current and prospective members; processing financial transactions including daily balancing of cash and transactions; assisting members with their financial needs and promoting Credit Union products and services.  

Position Name

Permanent Full Time Customer Service Representative (Front-line Teller)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Process member transactions, like bill payments, account transfers, loan payments and balance inquiries in an efficient and accurate manner;
  • Provide products and service support based on our member’s needs and goals;
  • Effectively manage digital and online inquiries, including incoming calls;
  • Perform outbound calls and support any sales and service initiatives;
  • Recommend and process product and services like deposit accounts, term deposits, card services, digital services, credit cards and pre-approved lending products;
  • Capture member feedback and help champion our Member Welcome Program;
  • Demonstrate a team approach and provide support to the Front-Line team;
  • Follow the Credit Union’s security and risk management procedures;
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • MUST BE BONDABLE

 

Who are we looking for:

We’re looking for a new team member who puts local first. We’d also be looking for a person who:
• Has completed a certificate or diploma in a related field or has an equivalent combination of sales and service experience;
• Has great customer service and business development skills;
• Is outgoing and self-motivated;
• Has great communication and time management skills; and,
• Proven history of accuracy and high attention to details (data entry, paperwork, cash balancing).
